An Honest Review of the FirePow Blogging System

July 31st, 2008 | 37 comments

FirePow Review I’ve been intrigued by the concept of FirePow since before it was launched, but I wanted to finally dig in and do an honest review so I can pass on a special discount.

(I don’t do “Best thing since sliced bread” type reviews because a product has a good affiliate program, as you probably know, so although I do like and recommend FirePow, this is 100% honest!)

What is FirePow?

FirePow is basically a complete blogging system, created by Andrew Hansen, publisher of the very popular ebook “Niche Marketing on Crack.” When I say complete, I mean COMPLETE! With FirePow you can put up optimized, content rich Niche WordPress blogs, promote them and start collecting incoming very quickly! And it does 95% of the work for you.

FirePow Quickly and Easily:

1. Installs WordPress onto as many domains as you like. FirePow does it for you and there is no limit. You can even manage your WordPress admin from within FirePow, which is pretty cool since you can literally manage everything from within FirePow.

2. Optimizes your blogs with the best WordPress plugins available, including loads of CUSTOM, Exclusive plugins that are only available to FirePow members! Some VERY cool plugins, that would definitely go viral if released to the public. I doubt they’ll ever be released though.

3. Allows you to view and install themes. It makes it extremely easy… loads of themes are preloaded, so you don’t have to go out and search a million sites. FirePow also has a VERY cool theme generator (still in BETA) which allows you to easily create your own custom theme!

4. Adds content to all of your blogs on ANY subject! We’re talking text, video, images… everything! (You can also add your own content if you like.) Obviously the text FirePow adds isn’t unique, but it’s targeted, quality content and it’s automatically added to your site, so it’s easy to change around and make it unique.

5. Promotes your blog(s!) Yep, FirePow even has built in systems to actually promote your blog! Automated social bookmarking, automated RSS submission and more!

6. Provides SEO stats. You can check your rankings for a particular keyword, links coming back to your blog, the statistics of your competitors and more.

7. Creates tasks, so you have a plan for your blogging success. Want to create 10 niche blogs, which will target adsense and/or affiliate programs? Just tell FirePow your plan and it’ll come up with tasks you need to do in order to make that plan a reality within your set time limit!

Aside from what FirePow DOES for you, it also OFFERS:

- A FirePow Success Blueprint, which outlines a very profitable niche marketing technique, that is actually very similar to my $5 Formula. This guide actually hit on a few things I never thought of. One, which generated a DUH moment in regards to accurate keyword research, which I mentioned in my Private Forum.

- An exclusive blog network, which acts somewhat like an article submission service, but instead of submitting to a bunch of low-quality article directories, you’re submitting your unique content to the FirePow network of quality blogs. It’s basically another way to promote your blogs. You write, or have written, some unique articles with links to your blog(s) and submit that content to the blog network for exposure and links.

- Access to the secure FirePow training area, which contains how-to guides on the entire system, including video!

- Access to the Exclusive FirePow forum, which when I last logged in had 33 members logged in, so it’s pretty active.

What I don’t like

So far, the only thing I don’t like about FirePow is that I can’t add my blog to it. You can’t add blogs to the FirePow network, that weren’t created by FirePow. BUT, I contacted Andrew about this today actually, and he assured me that this would be possible within the next few weeks, as they’ve had loads of others requesting the same. So all current members will be able to very soon.

My Conclusion

If you’re serious about getting some high-quality, niche blogs up to make some adsense and/or affiliate income, FirePow is as good as it gets. I’ve never seen a better system! I’m a member and plan on being one for a very long time.

“Over Delivering” would honestly be an understatement here! I’m extremely impressed with the overall system and value provided with FirePow.

did I read the sales page wrong, $97 per month!! that seems excessive or is it a typo? is it a one time fee or recurring fee?

  6. Josh Spaulding
    31st July, 2008 at 7:07 pm

    @ Kris

    1. Yes
    2. Through Adsense and/or affiliate programs. You insert your Adsense publisher ID, which you get from within your Adsense account and it will insert ads for you. OR, if you prefer you can promote affiliate programs. Or, you can do both.

@ Jak - Nope, you read it right. I’ts currently $97, but it will be higher on the 2nd.

It’s a bit pricy, but it’s well worth it! The time saved in installing, optimizing and promoting is priceless.

But, if you’re not going to go through with it all it’s not worth it. It will be worth MUCH more than the price tag for those who actually use it and follow through.

    Josh,
Is it possible to add themes, or do you have to select from the ones that come with the program? Also can you add plugins?

That discount is fabulous. Thank you.

    Hi Deb,

Yes, you can add your own theme and/or plugins if you like. You still have normal access to your blog, so I can’t imagine you not being able to :) Everything is just like normal, FirePow just automates everything and provides easy ways to get content, promote etc.

Yes, it does sound like a great way to easily setup niche blogs and promote them, but wow, it is a bit pricey at even the lowest level of membership. So bloggers just starting out need to decide if they want to invest the $127/month and hope they will get a good return on their investment or save up a few months worth of subscription fees to see if it’s right for them.

I still think Firepow sounds like a great idea though.

    1st August, 2008 at 12:44 pm

@ Mark - Well, I won’t argue it’s pricey, but all of the tools and training material is definitely there, so I don’t see why anyone who really gives it 100% couldn’t make much more than the price of membership. The basic membership is $97 until tomorrow and with my coupon code (above) you get premium for the price of basic. Still a little pricey, but man, Andrew over-delivers like crazy with this one!

Hey Josh, Thanks for the heads up. I figure if this product is anything as mentioned it will be either proved in the “fire”, or go the way of umpteen other product launches; down the toilet. Since you’ve gone out of your way to get that nice discount, I figure I should let you have the glory of knowing what you are talking about and give Andrew a chance to prove it:) Best wishes for more success.

My bad, you’re absolutely right. I mistakenly said the basic membership was $127. It’s not. And true, with training materials at one’s disposal and from what you say about it all, I’m sure it could pay off. :)

Josh, I’ve already signup with you code, thanks. Can you tell me how domain creating works? Do I have to have hosting elsewhere? Or does they do hosting for me? Do I need register domains anywhere else (like godaddy.com). Can you help me with this process?

    Thank you

and 1 more question, where I can find my affiliate code to get referral for FirePow :) I’m lost there :)

    1st August, 2008 at 8:24 pm

@ Mike - I haven’t tried SENuke, so don’t know. But it looks like two totally different systems.

@ Stew - haha well I’m 110% sure this won’t be going down the toilet. I don’t promote trash and if I know Andrew, he’ll prove it if he needs to, but his products always speak for themselves.

@ Mark Sierra - Just don’t let it happen again :) Just kidding.

@ Franto - Of course you’ll still need to register domains with your registrar and you can host it yourself, but (don’t quote me on this) I BELIEVE Andrew will host your blogs for you if you don’t currently have a server to host it on. I’m hosting my own on my server, so I don’t know the exact process, but I’m sure Andrew could tell you.

When you login and you’re on the main page, you see several icons there. It’s the one labeled “Affiliate Program” :)

    Hope that helps

Josh, thanks for yur blog. I had a good look at Andrew’s Niche Empire Generator a few months ago, not much buzz, but I thought it looked prettygood. The FP sales page states that hosting is included in the monthly subs, which makes it more attractive. All in all it looks quite good. Have to get my ticket sales up to afford it. I just find I dont have enough hours in the day to devote to this stuff to really get it kicking. Anyway, us Aussies stick together, so Oi Oi Oi to Andrew and the FirePow. (Thats a thumbs up!!)

Aussie insight…..the name is just a bit on the eyebrow raising side….a company with a very similar name is in the news with dodgy corporate practices.

NOT related to Firepow, NOT related to Andrew Hansen. All the best Andrew.

I am a current Firepow user and LOVE it. I am not an expert by any stretch of the imagination…but Firepow makes it so easy to put together a blog and keep that blog going.

As an example…just the fact that it makes it so easy to get the setup right and get it optimized right is amazing.

I have a blog I put up on the 19th of July. Set it up according to directions, did a few of the real easy things you can do in Firepow and nine days later I am ranked 18th (2nd page) in a Google search for the keywords I am targeting!!

With those keywords there are 1,990,000 pages and I am ranked 18th! I find that pretty amazing. And I have only done about 1/100th of what the software and training can do for this site.

The tools with Firepow make it so easy to get content and to get traffic to your site. The whole process, once you learn the software, is pretty easy.

There is a learning curve to be sure….but once you have the Firepow “system” down….watch out!!

I do have one minor complaint that is being addressed. At launch it was not Wordpress 2.5 or 2.6 ready. Therefore it could not work with some of the real popular themes out there. That was for sure a negative. But from what I understand they will have that issue addressed soon.

As for the price….let’s get real. If you are serious about making some money then the price is irrelevant because what Firepow does for you is worth way more than the cost.

Also, this is my first experience with a Andrew Hansen product and I can tell you without a doubt the support with this product is OUTSTANDING. They are determined to help everyone succeed and I have no doubt Andrew and his team are 100% dedicated to making constant improvements and waayyyy over delivering with this product.

And if any of you think I am a shill for Andrew Hansen….you are wrong. I am just a very happy user of Firepow.

    (1) Is it good for selling my own physical and info products?
    (2) Is it wordpress in a box?

I think automatic RSS submission feature is really cool. Because, I got success by manual submission of my blog at top 10 RSS aggregator.

I’ve been looking at Tim Gormans lastest 6 fig plan. Where he talks about producing a website that make $1.50 a day and promoting using articles.

Do you think Firepow will help reduce the time taken to make a site?

    Thanks

    4th August, 2008 at 7:24 pm

@ Martin - You’re welcome, I’m glad you like the blog. There’s never enough hours in the day, whether you’re just getting started or have been at it for years, believe me! :)

@ Todd - Glad to hear you’re one of the mnay happy customers, I’m another :) It’s very cool.

Good point on the WP version. That should have been one of my “don’t like” but it’s something they couldn’t have avoided and I believe are working to fix. I believe the main thing is that some of the custom plugins aren’t compatible with 2.6. I’m sure they’ll get them up to par soon and fortunately, it doesn’t hurt anything to work with a version that’s a little older.

@ Rita - 1. Yep, you can sell anything you like on your blog. FirePow just helps you get everything up, full of content and promote it. 2. I’m not sure what you mean exactly, but I guess you could consider it to be “WordPress in a box.” As you can get a wordpress blog up and running in no time flat :) Yep, the auto rss submission is one of the many very cool features.

@ Dave - It all depends on your own business model and plans, but it definitely can, yes.

    - Just what we need - more SPLOGS! (That was sarcasm by the way)…

That’s what I thought at first and that was the first question I asked Andrew before taking a look.

He assured me, and I confirmed, that it’s DEFINITELY not a splogging service, although I’m sure a spammer could use it as one.

I know it was sarcasm, but I still wanted to explain in case others were thinking along the same lines ;)

Thanks for your honest revew, Jost. I bought you article marketing ebook a while back, and thought it was very informative and inspiring…

Regarding Firepow, do you know if they are offering a “trial offer”? Something like $20 for the first 30 days? I would be interested in something like that, so that I could really see the control panel and everything first hand for a few hours/days to really see how user-friendly it is, and if it’s all that it’s cracked up to be. If it everything the claims declare, then I would definitely be interested in commiting to paying over $100 per month for what sounds like an awesome income stream…

    thanks,

    Neil

    Hi Neil,

    Thanks, glad you liked “AMD.”

As for a trial offer for FirePow, I don’t believe there is, but I may be wrong. I will tell you over 95% of those who ordered through my link are still active members. It’s an awesome system.

Hi Josh, is the coupon code still valid? Can we get the Premium membership at the price of the Basic membership still? Which means $147/month at $97/month? I’ve been searching for the best offer and if yours is what you said, then I’ll sign up using your aff link immediately. Cheers!

  28. Josh Spaulding
    2nd September, 2008 at 4:00 pm

    Hi Juzaily

I believe basic membership is $117. The $97 price tag was only during launch I believe. But as far as I know, the coupon code above is still good. So you get a Premium membership, which gives you access to the FirePow blog network (alot of quality, high PR blogs in it) for the price of a basic membership.

If the coupon code isn’t valid, just let me know and I’ll take care of it.

This might be a somewhat daft question but: From the sales letter you get the impression that the social bookmarking feature involves only one click.

However, I assume you will need to have your own accounts created with all of these services first. Or do they actually have some kind if social bookmarking account pool that is used (that would be cool) without you having to create all the accounts?

  30. Andrew Hansen (1 comments.)
    11th September, 2008 at 12:49 pm

    Hey Mike,

    Andrew from Firepow here.

Yes, AFTER you’ve created all your accounts, you can select the auto social bookmarking option to have all your blog posts submitted to them. That initial part is a necessary evil for social bookmarking tools.

However your idea for the pool of accounts is an interesting one - I’m going to do some research on that!

Hope that helps. All the best,
    Andrew

I get to know this firepow from my friends, my question that I just choose a nich, register my blog name at godaddy and just leave it to firepow they will do the rest. Is it true?
As simple as that? Why Andrew want to sell this making money software??

….Josh, I’m so closed to get this software by your link, but I don’t why, at paypal page it get this ” Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage” So think of try again tomorrow.

    Hope u can guide me.

    Thanks

  33. Josh Spaulding
    16th September, 2008 at 2:00 pm

@ Farid, it’s not THAT simple, but it’s close!

Once you have your domain registered you put it up on the FirePow system and choose your theme, content, promotion means etc.

In other words, FirePow does most of the work for you, but you still have control.

hmm have you tried using FireFox or another browser? That’s odd. If you don’t get it to work just let me know and I’ll contact Andrew and see what he thinks.

    Josh,

Just last question before I want to click the order button from your link.

If let say this firepow don’t works for me can I stop it for the next month?

At least I want to give myself a try first.

    Thanks.

  35. Josh Spaulding
    17th September, 2008 at 8:01 am

@ Farid - You can stop it anytime you want. Just login to your PayPal account and cancel the subscription.

    Andrew also offers a 100% money-back guaranteed.

    Here it is:

“If you HONESTLY and truly follow my methods and use Firepow just like is recommended, and you haven’t generated at least 3 great niche blogs and 1000 targetted visitors to your sites, within 60 days, I’ll send you the price of your purchase back PLUS an extra 10% of the purchase price out of my OWN pocket…”
