Yahoo Beats Google - What?
August 21st, 2007 | 2 commentsI guess according to a survey that the American Consumer Satisfaction Index ran, Yahoo is more popular than Google by about 1%. Yahoo’s CEO, Larry Freed, says “Google needs to market better.” Are you kidding me? I’m sure he means Google doesn’t SPAM their users enough.
Yahoo spams me more than anyone. I login to my yahoo email and get spam from Yahoo on a daily basis. If I’m not extremely accurate with my mouse, I’ll have a huge banner ad jump out at me and start talking to me. If I miss the login form for my email by a fraction of a centimeter, I’ll be on their password theft page.
And talk about unethical adverts. They don’t necessarily put their advertisers through a ethics test. Speaking of unethical advertising, take a look at Jimmy Guterman’s article over at O’reilly Radar.
The fact is, Google is BETTER in more ways then one. Yahoo has just been around a couple years longer and Google hasn’t demolished them yet. But, they will!
I’d love to show you a video from WebProNews but when I embed it, it corrupts my blog. You can go their by clicking the following link: http://videos.webpronews.com/2007/08/14/yahoo-outscores-google-in-survey/

Jeff Schuman here. Yahoo is delusional. Good article. Good job on developing your blog as well Josh. Keep it up. Don’;t forget about My Power Mall. As soon as people figure out how to buy online it will be big. Have a good week.

The comments made about the data provided by the ACSI are indeed innane. I agree that ACSI reporting they show that Yahoo is higher rated for service than Google should lead people to question the ACSI. And in doing so I don’t think maybe will come away impressed.
