Do you Squidoo ?

If you don’t you should!

Check out my lens

In case you’ve been living in a barn for the last year :) I’ll explain what Squidoo is and why it is so useful.

What is Squidoo
- Squidoo is a new social marketing type site that allows it’s users to create what is called a “lense.” A lense is simply a customized page that anyone can create. These lenses can easily be customized with a cool (easy) back-panel.

You can add your own products, Website links, affiliate links, articles etc. to your lense.

Why is Squidoo so Useful? - Quite simply because it ranks HIGH in the search engines. More and more squidoo lenses are coming up for HIGHLY competitive keywords every day. In other words, create a lense for your main niche keyword and there is a very good chance that the lense will outrank your own niche website.

If you want to take a look at my lense you can by following this link - http://www.squidoo.com/articlemarketingdomination. I would love to see your comments there.

Hi Josh, I’ve just set up in Squidoo after finding a highly competitive search term ranking middle of front page on google from a simple squidoo page! Like you, I’d recommend it to everyone.

I have a question and it’s a bit silly I think as the answer to the geeks will be ‘like duh!’ but…here goes…How do you get all the little icons into a blog or site for visitors to click ie your ‘Share This Story:…’ thingo that has the digg icon, facebook etc. I can’t find how to show a squidoo link or digg link on my blog. I know how to write a word and link it but I like of course the cool little icons…do you have a minute to answer this one? Cheers Michelle.

wow I wrote this post over a year ago and I never did really get into Squidoo, although it’s definitely worked out for alot of people.

For WordPress I use the plugin called Sociable.
