StartForce - The Internet’s First Web-Based Desktop

August 4th, 2007 | No comments

Web-based Desktop Well, the first I’ve seen anyway. My wife, was reading an article on Stern.de earlier talking about this new thing called StartForce. She wasn’t sure exactly what it was but she thought it sounded like something I’d be interested in. So I looked into it and found it was really cool!

With StartForce you get a free account, which is literally a desktop with icons, start button, browser shortcut and all, that you can log into on any computer in the world.

It’s like having your computer on someone else computer … thats cool!

The first thing I figured was that, since it’s free, there must not be much disk space. Well, at 10,240 MB I can hardly complain. Granted, that’s not an enormous amount of space, but for free that’s very good.
