Follow me on Twitter - I’m Addicted
April 2nd, 2008 | 12 commentsI signed up with Twitter a few months ago…I was late to jump on the bandwagon.
Since then I’ve gotten just over 60 followers and need more people to talk to on there, so it’s time to start inviting people.
If you have a Twitter account add me. If I don’t immediately follow you just tell me to @Josh_Spaulding
See you there >>Follow Me on Twitter< <

Pardon me, but can you explain the relevance of Twitter. I don’t get it. Guess I don’t understand it. Of course it took me a while to understand blogging.
Give me a practical example of why I should give a whit about Twitter. Does everyone need to know when I stop at Starbucks, or am picking my teeth at the bank drive thru?

@ Charlie - Thanks…just reciprocated.
@ Steve - lol I had very similar thoughts when I first heard of it. But it didn’t take long for it to grow on me.
It’s really just a great way to have “mini” coversations with friends, clients and/or like-minded people.
The only thing I can say is to create an account, follow some people, get some followers and give it a shot.
Obviously everything isn’t for everyone, so you may not like it, but if you’re like me it just needs some time to grow on you.

@ Steve It’s such a common reaction, I felt the exact same way, I thought “well this is kinda lame”, but since I’ve been on, it’s got me a couple of followers from out of nowhere, so when I’m ready to publish what I’m working on I already got a group of people to holler at about my project. So it’s a cool tool, spend some time with it and it just starts to make sense.

Hi Josh,
Consider yourself followed. I have been on there for a few days and I am already seeing the relevance and fun of twitter.

following you and jumped over to spread some extra love because you are now following me.
I find that the value of Twitter increased exponentially when I started following a lot of people. Lots of new friends, authors who want my free online course and just formed a new partnership.
Twitter rocks..
Great layout here. I’m coming back soon

Thanks to everyone who is now following me. I believe I’m following everyone, but if not just let me know.
@ Chuck - oh yeah, you’re one of those old guys who don’t like it
@ Warren - Thanks, see you around
@ Caroline - I should have mentioned that.
Caroline has an excellence Twitter guide, which is actually what got me going with it at http://www.caroline-middlebrook.com/blog/twitter-guide/

I still don’t get it.
Since Twit apparently uses the rel=nofollow tag, I’m guessing we would just follow along to see who reports a hole in their sock on their blog.
Although, I’ve heard it argued that no “link love” from a page rank Kahuna is better than not getting same from a page rank pigmy.

@ Steve - It has nothing to do with SEO, as there is no SEO benefit at all. It’s about networking.
I suppose if you thought a hole in your sock was important enough to announce, then yes.
Nothing wrong with passing it by. I won’t though
