The Very Inspiring Last Lecture of a Dying Professor!
January 23rd, 2008 | 6 commentsI know this video has been going around for a while, but if you haven’t had a chance to take a look I recommend you do.
It’s of Randy Pausch, a Computer Science Professor at Carnegie-Mellon University who was suffering from Pancreatic Cancer and died just weeks after giving his “last Lecture.”
Just about the whole lecture was extremely inspiring to me, but one part stood out:
“Brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls aren’t there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to show us how badly we want things…the brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t want it badly enough!”

With all due respect, I believe Randy Pausch is still alive. Check this link to his web page: http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~pausch/news/index.html
I listened to this lecture a few days ago. It is quite entertaining and inspiring, and would be even if he didn’t have cancer.

Good deal, that’s great. I guess I just assumed he passed away after hearing the story. Definitely a great lecture and someone who seems to have given alot to the World.

I put off watching this video for a long time, since I got the link to it.
Thanks for the reminder to finally watch it; it’s an inspiring one indeed.
